wednesday amsterdam

Mr C - oil temp to high he was baking bless him - but what a place to "break" down!

Engine oil has over heated outside saltzburg on the E55 so stopped on hard shoulder n nearly got spanked so limped mr c into the services and parked up , took engine cover and seats out opened all the windows to cool
Engine oil as quick as possible as not to damage engine , sooo now we need things to do :) so off comes the pit bike after doin the. Choirs of water and bits , we both went for a solo ride in an old quarry we found and an old abandoned road and old dams for the snow fall to direct it , then we went for a tandam ride and went on an adventure with a beer and a BEER! we were set to go , goin over the most ricaty old shitty bridges with Missin planks and no rails and a shir drop down we was smiling but crappin our pants haha ! We soldiered on and came to another track leadin to a Forrest that had DANGER VENAMOUS SNAKES !! As you do we carried on through the rockiest little beaten down tracks ( for those who know it you can imagine the penine way) we  came to a field surrounded by electric fences ( this is twice in 2 weeks we have come across electric fences while trying to sly our way through a Forrest but last time we did find a party hahaha!!!! But we eventually had to turn back as we didn't want to scare any livestock or annoy the locals but what an amazing way to pass a few hours , heading back to the service station both on the pit bike and it was goin strong up and down the hills , we zoomed through the lorry park and car parks gettin thumbs up from everyone especially the cleaner dude who loved both the van and the bike but don't speak a word of English hahaha! We packed up bike and went for a wonder round services and found 2 locked showers and went hunting for the keys !! After asking about 4 different people we came to a very nice lady who gave us both a key each and we had awesome massive shower rooms all to ourselves which is a god send in a trip like this not that I'm complaining at all :) , after a shower feeling fresh we parked the van in a very open spot and cooked dinner and pulled any passer by into the van and everyone we met was brilliant and really friendly and inquisitive about the van and our trip :) we stopped for a while more honking and chatting by which time it was dark and alot cooler for the van so on popped my leopard skin trilby and off we trot , on the way out the services we spotted a massive vw lt45 motorhome and had to stop and chat to the guy , turns out he has made alot of the changes Phil has with mr c except his was a mk 1 and a bit trickier to mount the larger turbo engine in it ha! But the guy was German and it did not seems to phase him at all , actually he played it down a lot showing us his v8 sticker as it is so slow to be ironic , oh how we laughed in similarity haha ! We are on the move now it is dark and a shame we can't see the mountains and scenery but there's always tomo!  ONTO SLAVINIA :)!!!

Tuesday Day 2

Breakfast.. Frankfurter with cheese and cabbage on dough,

mk1 LT28 fire truck!! at an open air cinema

we met the guy that owned this he has a bed in the back!

Tues we are still in amsterdam and taking it easy, think the pics speak for themselves.

The ferry trip was so cold we slept in every place and position possible,  Cal discovered the head eating flaps to hide the shame, we had to remove the DO NOT SLEEP IN THESE CHAIRS  sign

every time we checked there was still 3 hours to go, getting board we gate crashed the trucks lounge... the security asked "are you drivers?" we just responded "yes" and that was it. with no euros to hand we got caught stealing 2 bread rolls ha! and looked for more ways to pass the time so had forward rolly polly racing down the coridors, when we drove off and got to grips with the netherlands roads we had the music blazing and were causing amusment for the locals. reaching amsterdam we found a cool pier to pull the van up and got on the b.m.x's in to city center getting a bit lost, we then saw an etheopian climb through a tennis racket, and hit the bars for a night of laughing till tears.

We r off!!!

Sunday was a constant run around, ticking off pack lists and seeing how many boys toys we can hang off the poor old van (bit like a massive game of buckaroo.) We were planned to set off 5am monday morning, but due to over excitment and not wanting to sleep we set off at 1.30am (sorry neighbours.) Thinking no one would be on the road at this time, it should be plain sailing! Stuggling to keep my eyes open after mucho partying and packing we hit a small trafic jam at 3.30am??? someone had wrapped their car around a lamp post.  we arrived at Harwich port and got our heads down for a few hours till boarding. After rudely shouting MORNING as loud as I could to wake cal we checked in and got pulled aside by customs for a look in the van the officer asked 'why all the cages' We told him it was to stop the lions getting out and he let us board.

Our send off at home.

What a lovely day it was sorchio!!

A massive thank you to all our amazing neighbours at turn pike for an epic send off, we couldn`t of asked for more... great day and night!! from dancing on grass with Alfie to dancing on ice outfits.
(appoligies to anyone offended by the revieling catsuits ha ha ha!!) special thank you to Alfie and co setting up, feeding and watering us before our mission. and the lamb kebab dinner the following day was great cheers mark and vicky. YOUR ALL LEGENDS!!!!

who and where

My photo
Two lads.... Callum and myself Phil have been planning an unforgettable month long trip across Europe in one of our Camper vans, destination.... "Outlook festival in Croatia" The festival is held on a small island with beautiful beaches. The festival is 5 days long and has a 3 day after party. We will be heading by ferry to the hook of Holland to stop at Amsterdam, then on through Germany where we are ridiculously taking the van around the Nuremberg ring, detouring a little to visit Prague in the Czech republic, and down across Austria and Slovenia to reach Croatia. The trip home will take us through Italy France and Belgium
