Tuesday Day 2

Breakfast.. Frankfurter with cheese and cabbage on dough,

mk1 LT28 fire truck!! at an open air cinema

we met the guy that owned this he has a bed in the back!

Tues we are still in amsterdam and taking it easy, think the pics speak for themselves.

The ferry trip was so cold we slept in every place and position possible,  Cal discovered the head eating flaps to hide the shame, we had to remove the DO NOT SLEEP IN THESE CHAIRS  sign

every time we checked there was still 3 hours to go, getting board we gate crashed the trucks lounge... the security asked "are you drivers?" we just responded "yes" and that was it. with no euros to hand we got caught stealing 2 bread rolls ha! and looked for more ways to pass the time so had forward rolly polly racing down the coridors, when we drove off and got to grips with the netherlands roads we had the music blazing and were causing amusment for the locals. reaching amsterdam we found a cool pier to pull the van up and got on the b.m.x's in to city center getting a bit lost, we then saw an etheopian climb through a tennis racket, and hit the bars for a night of laughing till tears.

We r off!!!

Sunday was a constant run around, ticking off pack lists and seeing how many boys toys we can hang off the poor old van (bit like a massive game of buckaroo.) We were planned to set off 5am monday morning, but due to over excitment and not wanting to sleep we set off at 1.30am (sorry neighbours.) Thinking no one would be on the road at this time, it should be plain sailing! Stuggling to keep my eyes open after mucho partying and packing we hit a small trafic jam at 3.30am??? someone had wrapped their car around a lamp post.  we arrived at Harwich port and got our heads down for a few hours till boarding. After rudely shouting MORNING as loud as I could to wake cal we checked in and got pulled aside by customs for a look in the van the officer asked 'why all the cages' We told him it was to stop the lions getting out and he let us board.

Our send off at home.

What a lovely day it was sorchio!!

A massive thank you to all our amazing neighbours at turn pike for an epic send off, we couldn`t of asked for more... great day and night!! from dancing on grass with Alfie to dancing on ice outfits.
(appoligies to anyone offended by the revieling catsuits ha ha ha!!) special thank you to Alfie and co setting up, feeding and watering us before our mission. and the lamb kebab dinner the following day was great cheers mark and vicky. YOUR ALL LEGENDS!!!!

Our route

                                                           This is our proposed route.

The only differance is we are getting the ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holand on the way out.
we will be covering 3000 miles in total which should cost roughly £850 in diesel. Motor way tolls vary from country to country so the cost of them is hard to work out,

4 days to go

Ha well, 2 working days and 2 leaving celebrations till we set off on Monday morning!! Can't wait

We now have a small honda scrambler motor bike to take and 2 more small canoes,
We are gonna keep the blog up dated with a 'daily door view' out the van and 'plank of the day'!!
Wha hoo!

My photo
Two lads.... Callum and myself Phil have been planning an unforgettable month long trip across Europe in one of our Camper vans, destination.... "Outlook festival in Croatia" The festival is held on a small island with beautiful beaches. The festival is 5 days long and has a 3 day after party. We will be heading by ferry to the hook of Holland to stop at Amsterdam, then on through Germany where we are ridiculously taking the van around the Nuremberg ring, detouring a little to visit Prague in the Czech republic, and down across Austria and Slovenia to reach Croatia. The trip home will take us through Italy France and Belgium
